At our Southside cosmetic and family practice we offer a full range of dental services. We enjoy building long-lasting relationships with our patients.  As such, we see many generations in the same family.  We try to make your appointments as comfortable as possible, and provide the latest in dental care.  Every effort will be made to be available whenever you have an immediate problem.

Dr. Doug Lewis was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and attended the Baylor Preparatory High School.  Upon finishing, he moved southward to Tuscaloosa, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama.  After receiving his degree in Biology, Dr. Doug moved to Birmingham to begin dental school at UAB.

Upon earning his D.M.D. degree, Dr. Lewis served a general practice residency at the Veterans Hospital at UAB.  This is when he met his "better half" Nancy.  They married in 1995.  Dr. Doug worked in different practices throughout Central Alabama his first five years of dentistry.

Finally, he had the good fortune to join Dr. Joe Dolce in 1999.  Dr.'s Dolce and Lewis worked together for five wonderful years until Dr. Dolce retired.  Most of Dr. Lewis's staff has been with the practice since Dr. Lewis joined.

Dr. Lewis enjoys all areas of general dentistry, with special interests in reconstructive and cosmetic practice.  He attends continuing education regularly to stay up to date concerning current treatments and technologies.

Doug and Nancy now have 3 children and 2 dogs.
